Nicole Chardoul, a licensed professional engineer, is a Principal and C.O.O. of Resource Recycling Systems. She manages the consulting operations and is a senior member of the RRS engineering team.Currently, Nicole is Project Director for RRS’ healthcare and university-based waste reduction, resource management and contract management sustainability programs and waste assessments. The goals of these programs are to review and redesign the corporate and institutional waste, recycling and organics programs to reduce costs, improve operational efficiencies and increase awareness and compliance.
Before coming to RRS in 1998, Nicole served as a Peace Corps volunteer in Cote d’Ivoire, West Africa. Project activities there included hygieneeducation; design and oversight of a school latrine construction project and improved trash collection system. Before joining the Peace Corps, Nicole was an engineer at Ford Motor Company's Environmental Quality Office and worked in conjunction with the National Pollution Prevention Center at the University of Michigan. Nicole helped initiate innovative pollution prevention research including a paint sludge and wastewater database and sampling program
