Lisa Clarke is Division Chair in the Department of Publics Affairs responsible for Institutional Communications, and Community Relations. Lisa is also the administrator for the Destination Medical Community initiative, working in partnership with the Rochester Community. Destination Medical Community (DMC) is a bold initiative that aims to create a more vibrant, authentic community experience for Mayo Clinic patients, visitors, and Rochester MN residents. The goal is to provide the ideal patient and visitor experience and make Rochester, MN the world’s premier destination medical community.
Lisa provides leadership and strategic direction to Mayo Clinic’s public affairs activities helping to tell Mayo’s story, so patients can make informed decisions about their health care.
The Department of Public Affairs includes employee communications; brand efforts; marketing communications; Internet and Intranet; leadership communications; practice, education and research-related internal and external affairs; media relations; social media; patient and employee publications; state government relations; community relations and Mayo Health System communications.
Lisa serves on various Mayo Clinic committees and strategic groups and believes her primary role is to influence attitudes and actions that help Mayo Clinic achieve its mission. She also serves on various community groups and Boards.
Lisa's education includes an M.B.A. from the University of St Thomas, Minneapolis, Minn., and a B.S. from the University of Wisconsin, LaCrosse Wis.
