Elizabeth Boultbee has been involved in the development & maintenance of patient flows from international sources to the UK for 15 years, most recently as Head of International Business at HCA International Hospitals based in central London. With the strategic & operational responsibility for developing and implementing HCA’s international strategy the international revenue increased from £48m to £86m in 5 years. As a result HCA was awarded the Queen’s Award for Enterprise: International Trade 2009.
Elizabeth was the General Manager of the International & Private Unit at Great Ormond Street Children’s Hospital (in the top 5 children’s hospitals in the world) for 4 years; General Manager of Moorfields Private at Moorfields Eye Hospital – the oldest and largest ophthalmic centre in the world and Business Manager at the Private Patient Unit of University College London Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust for 4 years significantly increasing international patient flows in each hospital.
Elizabeth now has her own international healthcare consultancy business, specializing in the development of patient referrals from the Middle East and in helping hospitals establish international patient centres.
Elizabeth has also worked for BUPA and PPP – the two main private healthcare insurers in the UK.
Elizabeth was the “Women in Business in the Arab World” award winner in 2002 and is a Professional member of the National Institute of Accountants.
