International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology

M. Zeki Karagülle MD, PhD is professor at the department of Medical Ecology and Hydroclimatology at Istanbul Medical Faculty of Istanbul University. He has been directing undergraduate and post graduate education and training programs in Istanbul University at Istanbul Medical Faculty.

He has published research and review articles on the therapeutic and beneficial effects of spa therapy and balneotherapy in healthy subjects and in rheumatic diseases. He has written and edited books and textbook chapters on Balneology, Spa Therapy and Health Resort Medicine.

At the present, he is the president of Turkish Association of Balneology and Spa Medicine (since 2002) and the president of the International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology (ISMH) (since 2008).

He has been organizing Turkish Spa Medicine and Balneology Congresses, World Congresses of International Society of Medical Hydrology and Climatology , International Health Tourism Congresses and mutual balneological congresses with Hungarian and German associations and has been organizing and participating in symposiums, panel discussions and workshops on Medical Hydroclimatology and Balneology, Health Tourism and Spa&Wellness  topics.
