Clark Reed is Director of the Healthcare Facilities Division for ENERGY STAR, at the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C.
He leads EPA’s efforts to improve the energy efficiency of healthcare facilities by promoting best practices, creating energy management tools, and recognizing top performing hospitals. He administers EPA’s ENERGY STAR energy performance scale for healthcare facilities, which is now used by over 85% of hospitals nationwide, and recently directed the expansion of the ENERGY STAR program to senior care communities.
Mr. Reed regularly publishes and speaks about energy issues and served on the steering committees for both the Green Guide for Health Care and the U.S. Green Building Council’s LEED for Healthcare.
