Brian S. Inamine, Esq.

Shareholder, LeClairRyan LLP
Healthcare Industry Team
Brian is a shareholder in the Los Angeles office of LeClairRyan LLP, a national law firm. He is a member of the Healthcare Industry Team, and heads up the Team’s West Coast practice.
In his twenty-five years as an attorney, Brian has litigated a variety of cases for numerous defendants, and has tried cases to juries all over Southern California. His healthcare practice includes defending international health insurers and cost-containment companies in business litigation, and he serves as national U.S. counsel for an international cost-containment company. Brian recently defended six international travel health insurance companies and a cost-containment company against a $1,600,000.00 breach of contract and fraud lawsuit filed by one of the largest, most profitable hospitals in the United States. The case resolved favorably for the defense after Brian successfully convinced the federal court judge that the insurers’ policies contained valid and enforceable provisions requiring all disputes, including the lawsuit, be resolved in the insurers’ home countries, not in the United States.
Brian speaks and writes on international travel health insurance issues. In 2008, he was a speaker at the Travel Health Insurance Association of Canada’s Annual Conference (Miami, Florida). And his healthcare insurance articles have been published in the National Law Journal (2007) and the International Travel Insurance Journal (2008). In 2010, his article "Accreditation as Facilitator of Delivery of Professional Services Internationally: What would a workable Model Look Like?" won First Prize in the ANSI 2010 U.S. Celebration of World Accreditation Day paper competition.
