Mr. Thorburn serves as President and Chief Executive Officer of Global Benefits Group, Inc., a leading underwriter and distributor of international employee benefit plans. In addition, he is  Managing Director of GBG Insurance Limited, an offshore insurance company he help found in 2001 for the expressed purpose of underwriting international and multinational employee benefit risks.

 Mr. Thorburn joined GBG as Chief Marketing Officer in 1999, was promoted to President in 2001 and became CEO in 2005.
